Whenever the MDaemon server is running, its icon will be visible in the system tray. However, apart from simply letting you know whether or not the server is running, the icon is also dynamic and will change colors based upon the current server status. The following is a list of the icon indicators:White - All okay. No mail in local or remote queues.Blue - All okay. Mail in local or remote queues.Yellow - Available disk space below threshold. See Disk tab on Miscellaneous Options.Red - Network is down, dialup failed, or disk is full.Green - This is the system tray icon for a MDaemon Configuration session.Icon Blinking - A newer version of MDaemon is available. Additional Comments When accessing the MDaemon server via Terminal Service or Remote Desktop you may not be able to see the actual MDaemon server icon. You will need to start an MDaemon Configuration session to access the GUI (Go to the programs menu and just run 'Start MDaemon' again).
ActiveSync requires WorldClient to use port 80 for non-secure (SSL) HTTP connections, and 443 for SSL/HTTPS connections, for both the built-in webserver or running under a third-party webserver like Microsoft IIS. This article describes how to create an archive copy of all inbound and outbound mail. From the MDaemon menu bar: Click Setup.Click Default Domain / Servers... Select Archiving on the left.Click Send copies of all inbound and outbound mail to these addresses.Enter the address of either a local MDaemon account or a remote address. Click the box Include local mailing list messages if desired. NOTE: You may not want to archive list mail if you have a high volume of mail, because of the additional disk space and processing load required.Check the option for Include MultiPOP collected messages also if desired.Check the option for Insert '(Archive Copy)' into message Subject header if desired.Click OK. Note that if you are using MDaemon Pro, you may also archive messages to a public folder. From the MDaemon menu-bar: Click Setup.Click Default Domain / Servers...Select Archiving on the left of the window.Configure the options as desired in the Archive to public folders section of the window:Check Archive inbound mail to save a copy of all messages bound for local users to the public folder.Check Archive outbound mail to save a copy of all messages sent from your server to remote addresses to the public folder.If you wish to sort archived messages by the sending or receiving address, check either ... archive based on sender address or ... archive based on recipient address.If you wish to have separate sub-folders for each domain you have setup in MDaemon, check Provide separate archives for each MDaemon domain.Click OK. Outlook Connector versions 4.0.0 and above introduces the ability to push client settings to Outlook Connector users from the MDaemon server. There are instances where users will need to have the ability to override pushed settings and the steps to do so are provided below.
